The Grand Universe Lucca is located in the city center, within the Limited Traffic Zone (LTZ). A LTZ permit is available for our guests, allowing them to enter the area by car and reach the hotel entrance exclusively for luggage loading and unloading operations (maximum 10 minutes).
Please note that both entry into and exit from the LTZ are monitored by cameras.

To avoid any issues, we kindly ask you to carefully follow the instructions below:

Access to and exit from the LTZ are permitted only on the day of arrival and the day of departure.

Access to and exit from the LTZ are allowed exclusively through Porta San Pietro.

Upon arrival, you will be provided with a form where you must record your name, vehicle license plate number, and time of entry. On departure, please visit the Reception to provide your license plate number and time of exit.

The hotel accepts no responsibility for any additional entries into other LTZ areas or entries made on dates other than the arrival and departure dates.

The hotel is not responsible for any fines resulting from exits made after the maximum time permitted by the issued LTZ pass.

The hotel overlooks two of the most beautiful piazzas in Lucca. There is the Piazza del Giglio, where the historic Teatro di Lucca is situated, and the Piazza Napoleone, home to the Palazzo Ducale, which takes its name from the times of Napoleon’s rule. It was once home to Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi, the emperor’s sister.
